The clash #13 Thirteen days without a break. Long days. I know there have been a few that were regulation-length days in the seven-to-eight hour band, but i can't clearly tell which they were. Regular readers may recall least week i did an 18 hour day. I've not had any that long this week, but plenty in the double figures. And i have at least another ten days to go… i'm just working, working, working. It doesn't seem like it's ever going to end. I hardly even time to get out the house. I'm wondering what cabin fever is like and swinging between listening to metal and electro, jazz and The Orb. I've started to every so often just blurt something out loud. Meaningless stuff. I've certainly lost the ability to converse with other humans. Whilst slowly going mad, i wore a cotton and polyester blend shirt by Romani that was Made In Korea. Hmm. I don't really see the connection there either, but there you go. It's what the label says. The tie was once owned by my Grandad. I believe he got it whilst he worked at the Philatelic Bureau, which was once a part of the Royal Mail. I don't remember ever seeing him wear it, ever though i most probably did. It features a repeating pattern of the world's first postage stamp, the Penny Black and was made by Peter K from polyester. As if it could ever have been made from anything but. I think i only have three days of shirt and tie combinations left. I don't know how i am going to manage for the remain days of these jobs without them. I fear i may not have enough spare energy to think up a photo every day.
